Remembering Fabian:

2.3.02 - 11.11.14

Fabian was 12 when he past away after 8 gruelling years of suffering, 2 bone-marrow transplants with his sister as donor at Great Ormond Street and Royal Marsden and taking part in world-breaking gene therapy medical trial. He was a fighter to the end, a brave boy who loved lego and had his own little herb garden.

His legacy continues and so much good has come out supporting families going through the same tough life experience!

In memory of Fabian, his amazing mum Lydia shared the following:

'Fabian went home three years ago.

If anyone had said to me that I would have to go three weeks without him it would have been unimaginable.

Fabian was my constant companion who’s presence I adored.

He needed me, I needed him.

A month or so back I had a revelation that I wrote down.....

I realised that I didn’t have to worry about Fabian. He was safe with his Heavenly Father. He was in much better hands than mine and safe forever . He wouldn’t have the struggles of this world.

I was able to give Fabian over in a new way and felt a new Trust about it all.

It won’t mean I think of him or miss him any less it’s just less intense, this feeling of release and peace.'
